This is the first volume of a two-volume DVD set taped at a two-day Bollinger Bands seminar. The seminar and DVD set are an outgrowth of John Bollinger's book Bollinger on Bollinger Bands. DVD I captures day one of the seminar and DVD II features the second day.
While books are a great way to acquire knowledge, some people absorb knowledge more easily when it is presented to them. This DVD set is for those more interactive learners. However, it is strongly recommended you read the book for greater depth and to reinforce your learning.
DVD I, The Essentials, builds the base. It presents the basics including the history and the fundamentals of Bollinger Bands construction and implementation. DVD II, Advanced Topics, carries the process to its logical conclusion -- trading systems based on Bollinger Bands. It starts by presenting several important volume indicators and then shows how to combine price action within the bands and indicator action to arrive at rigorous trading decisions.
This book includes all the slides featured on the DVD, so you can follow the charts and formulas during the presentation. There is plenty of room for notes, so feel free. It will help you absorb the material.
You can view this DVD on any standard set-top DVD player. Or, if your computer is equipped to play DVD movies, you can view it with your favorite DVD software.
Also included on the DVD is an Excel spreadsheet that presents a simple implementation of the formulas and concepts presented in the seminar. (You'll need a DVD drive in your computer to access these.
